About Davo
Since an early age, I’ve been a lover of scifi, horror and fantasy artwork. Great artists like Frank Frazetta, Boris Vallejo, H.R. Giger and many others inspired me in the mainstream art fields. Other artists such as John Willie, Eric Stanton, Eneg, with their tight bondage and clever contraptions, inspired me to want to create my own bondage artwork in the scifi, fantasy and horror genres. I wanted to create bondage images just the way “I” wanted them.
Since the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, I taught myself to 3d model the creatures, environments, building interiors, equipment and vehicles that I love to use in my artwork. As modeling took over, doing artwork has fallen by the wayside. I have done some artwork, but mostly for the promotional images I use for my 3d products. I have dabbled a bit in doing comics in the past, but looking back, that artwork was a bit rushed and unrefined. I believe I’ve come a long way since then, and have finally found a rendering art style I call Hybrid 3D. It’s a mix of digital 3d rendering and then digital postwork in a paint program using various filter methods to give my artwork the look and feel that I am pleased with. The Hybrid 3D is more “graphic art” than 3d photo-real, as I’ve never been a fan of photo-real work.
I hope to be around for a while, and I’d like to use davocomix as my official home for my artwork. I will have some galleries here, some work for sale, and links to places you can purchase my products. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Cheers,
Davo
